Built on research and global best practices
One Ontario builds on years of Canadian and international research in regulatory intelligence, computable regulation, digital twins, and automated compliance.
Through collaboration with the RCI Lab at York University and AECO Innovation Lab's Mitacs Cluster research involving six Canadian universities, the initiative draws on leading expertise and global best practices.
Research initiatives have included reviews of development application processes across major Ontario municipalities, the development of BIM-based automated code compliance approaches, and the encoding of regulatory standards, bylaws, and policies to support automated analysis of development approval applications.
